Chartwell Partners is pleased to have worked with Chief People Officer, Barbara Howes, to help build the HR team at Eikon Therapeutics, a drug discovery and development company, leveraging its proprietary platform of Nobel Prize-winning super-resolution microscopy, advanced engineering, and automation with the goal of bringing important new medicines to patients suffering from grievous illness. Scientists at Eikon measure the real-time movement of individual proteins in living cells to develop differentiated therapeutics. The Company roared out of stealth mode in 2021 with the appointment of its CEO, Roger Perlmutter, MD, PhD, and a $148M Series A financing, and has since raised a $517.8M Series B and appointed some of the industry’s most esteemed leaders to its Board and leadership team.
Mr. Weinberg joins Eikon from TriNet where he served as Vice President, Global Talent Acquisition, HR Operations and HRIS. He spent the prior 11 years with Gilead in a variety of integral roles, including building and leading TA for the EMEA region across 13 sites, and managing global TA for Commercial, G&A and Emerging Markets. His earlier HR career was spent in the UK with Accenture, Capgemini, and Manpower Group. Mr. Weinberg earned a National Diploma in Company Administration from Witwatersrand Technikon, and a master’s degree in Human Resource Management from London Metropolitan University.
