Frontier Medicines Names Gerardo Ubaghs as Chief Financial Officer

Chartwell’s Biopharmaceuticals practice worked with clinical stage, precision medicine leader, Frontier Medicines, to recruit Gerardo Ubaghs as Chief Financial Officer. This appointment follows our prior work recruiting Frontier’s Chief Medical Officer, Andrew Krivoshik, MD, PhD, and the Company’s Senior Vice President and Head of Oncology and Inflammatory Disease Research, Lata Jayaraman, PhD.

Mr. Ubaghs is an accomplished biopharma investment banking veteran with proven expertise advising management teams and boards of biotech and pharmaceutical companies on capital raising and strategic initiatives. He has helped execute over $100 billion in M&A and over $12 billion in equity and equity-related transactions.

Prior to joining Frontier, Mr. Ubaghs was a Managing Director in the Global Healthcare group of Bank of America, specializing in biopharma and computationally-enabled drug discovery. Prior to his investment banking career, he was an accomplished violinist, with solo and chamber music performances across North America, Europe, Asia and South Africa. Mr. Ubaghs holds an MBA from the Kelley School of Business of Indiana University and a bachelor’s in business administration from the University of Valencia in Spain.
