Brent Johnson recently joined the leadership team at American Bank, assuming the Chief Lending Officer role January 2. This successful engagement was led by Scott Petty, Managing Partner of the financial services recruiting team at top executive search firm Chartwell Partners out of their Dallas office.
As Chief Lending Officer, Brent Johnson will oversee and manage the bank’s lending teams and loan portfolio across various markets (both existing and future expansion). With more than 30 years of banking experience, Brent held leadership positions at PlainsCapital Bank, Texas Capital Bank, Southwest Bank of Texas (now Amegy Bank) and Guaranty Bank before joining American Bank.
Active in his community, Brent is a member of the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo, the Linkwood Civic Club Board, the Fundraising Committee for Halo House Foundation, the Mark Twain Elementary PTO, and the Texas A&M 12th Man Foundation. He graduated from Texas A&M University with a B.B.A. in Finance and MIS.
