John Anfinrud chosen President, BankWest, Community Bank

John Anfinrud has been named President, BankWest – Community Bank. Anfinrud, who will be based in Pierre, South Dakota will oversee the banking operations of the company and says he looks forward to working with the diverse markets BankWest serves.

With Anfinrud managing banking operations, Charles H. Burke III remains the Chairman and CEO of BankWest and continues to actively manage BankWest’s overall operations including strategic oversight of the organization. Burke, III said of Anfinrud, “John has a wealth of experience and knowledge in the banking industry, which will make him an integral part of the bank’s future.”

Prior to joining the BankWest team, Anfinrud served in various positions with US Bank over a 25-year period. He was born and raised in eastern North Dakota and earned a degree in finance from Minnesota State University, Moorhead. He has been involved with Habitat for Humanity and Junior Achievement. His wife, Jodi, and he have three children.
