Michael Lobbia recently joined General Motors as CFO for Global Powertrain. Mike joins GM from Federal Mogul Corporation where he was SVP-Powertrain Finance, a $4.5 billion division of the tier-one automotive supplier. Mike will report directly to Tom Okray, CFO of Global Product Development, Purchasing and Supply Chain. He will be based at GM’s technology center in Warren Michigan. Mike spent the bulk of his career with Federal Mogul. Starting as an Engineer in 1996, he moved into a finance role in 2001 and spent the next 14 years of his career progressing to his SVP role as head of finance for one of Federal Moguls two businesses. Mike’s earlier career was with Ford. Mike has a BS degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Michigan, and MS degree in the same from Purdue, as well as and MBA in Finance from the University of Michigan.
