Nicole Sherman Named President and Chief Executive Officer of Riverview Bancorp

Chartwell Partners is pleased to announce that, following an extensive national search, Nicole Sherman has been appointed President and Chief Executive Officer of Riverview Bancorp, Inc. and Riverview Bank, effective July 1, 2024. Sherman, who brings more than twenty‑five years of executive leadership experience across community banking organizations in the Pacific Northwest and beyond, will also join the Boards of Directors of both the Company and the Bank.

Sherman has held senior leadership roles with Columbia Bank, Utah First, Numerica Credit Union, AmericanWest Bank, and Zions Bank, with expertise spanning retail and digital banking, commercial and business banking, wealth management, corporate marketing, communications, and community impact. She is widely recognized for driving organizational transformation, cultivating high‑performance cultures, and leading through complex mergers and acquisitions. Sherman also serves as a long‑standing faculty member at Pacific Coast Banking School and was named its 2023 Instructor of the Year.

As President and Chief Executive Officer, Sherman will provide Riverview with strategic leadership in business planning, operational performance, talent development, and organizational growth. She succeeds Dan Cox, who served as acting CEO/President for the past nine months and will return full‑time to his role as EVP, Chief Operating Officer.
