Aisha Ponds, Susan Hoang and Josh Herring appointed VPs to CareFirst

Chartwell Partners is pleased to announce the successful completion of the following Engagements with CareFirst.

CareFirst, Inc., the Mid-Atlantic region’s largest healthcare organization serving the needs of 3.5M members, has made the following executive appointments:

Aisha Ponds – VP, Customer Service. Aisha joins CareFirst from Blue Cross Blue Shield of North Carolina, where she was the Associate VP, Customer Service Operations responsible for servicing all Commercial and Government members (Medicare, Medicaid, and FEP) for the health plan. At CareFirst, she reports to the SVP, Operations and leads an enhanced, multi-state service operations team focused on service excellence across the organization.

Susan Hoang—VP, Data & Analytics Platforms. Susan joins CareFirst from OncoHealth, an oncology care management company, where she was the Chief Data and Analytics Officer responsible for the company’s comprehensive data and analytics technology platforms and analytics strategy. At CareFirst, she reports to the Chief Digital Information Officer and is responsible for driving the analytics platforms focused on data strategy, governance, and delivery aimed at building strategic data management capabilities and improving the quality and value of critical business data.

Josh Herring – VP, Project Management – Service Benefit Plan Administration. Josh joins CareFirst from Cognosante, a healthcare and government technology consulting firm where he led large-scale, complex project engagements on behalf of the firm. At CareFirst, Josh reports to the SVP for its Service Benefit Plan entity that manages the Federal Employee Benefits offering on behalf of the entire Blue Cross Blue Shield nationwide network of offerings. He will lead a strategic team focused on aligning complex projects to BCBS client partner’s federally mandated delivery capabilities.
