CareFirst BlueCross BlueShield, the Mid-Atlantic region’s largest private sector health insurer, serving the healthcare needs of 3.5 million members in Maryland, the District of Columbia and portions of northern Virginia with nearly $10B in revenue hired Ben Carroll to be its Chief Data Officer. Prior to joining CareFirst, Ben was the Head of Data and Analytics for Business Information Systems with Clarivate, based in Philadelphia. Reporting to the CareFirst, Chief Information Officer, Ben will lead a team of over 100 data scientists, subject matter experts and others to drive innovation in the leverage of its data and information assets across all aspects of the business.
