CareFirst Names Angela Celestin New Chief Human Resources Officer

CareFirst BlueCross BlueShield (CareFirst) has hired Angela Celestin as Executive Vice President and Chief Human Resources Officer, following a nationwide search in partnership with Chartwell Partners. As CareFirst’s top human resources executive, Celestin will be responsible for reshaping the employee experience, enhancing the company’s leadership development programs and leading a strategy to align CareFirst’s workforce with the company’s ambitious short- and long-term goals.

 

Prior to joining CareFirst, Celestin spent nearly two years as Executive Vice President and Chief Human Resources Officer for National Money Mart Co.’s U.S. and Canadian retail and online lending businesses. She also oversaw the company’s customer contact center in Malvern, PA.

In its 82nd year of service, CareFirst, an independent licensee of the Blue Cross and Blue Shield Association, is a not-for-profit health care company which, through its affiliates and subsidiaries, offers a comprehensive portfolio of health insurance products and administrative services to 3.2 million individuals and groups in Maryland, the District of Columbia and Northern Virginia.
