Heather Johnson is a Partner in Chartwell’s Dallas office, and has been in executive search since 2003. Her national practice focuses on serving founder-influenced, family-owned and PE-backed businesses that are experiencing transformational change and explosive growth. Functionally, Heather has extensive recruiting experience with chief financial officers. Heather recognizes that the right top leadership is vital to the success of an investment. Heather has deep industry relationships across GP’s, LP’s and key service providers in the private equity space. She is particularly interested in working with founder-influenced and private equity-backed investments that are experiencing transformational change.
Prior to joining Chartwell Partners in 2019, Heather was a Vice President with a boutique retained search where she led the firm’s private equity and CFO practice. Earlier in her career Heather was a Senior Consultant with Fiserv, she then served as Senior Executive at Robert Half Management Resources.
Heather earned a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Finance from the University of Texas. She is also certified in assessment tools which she incorporates in the executive search process to provide objective data during the selection and on-boarding process.
Heather serves on the International Dyslexia board that advances dyslexia awareness in her community and is a committee member of Women in ACG DFW.
Heather is a resident of Dallas with her husband and her two children. Outside of work, Heather enjoys spending time with her family, yoga and cycling. She is active in community activities including a leadership role with Saint Thomas Aquinas Catholic School.
