“Whenever possible, I like to bring my industry operating experience to search engagements. It can be helpful in understanding experience, skills, and fit.”
Kent Fannon is a Partner in Chartwell’s Dallas office, and has been in executive search since 2007. He previously held positions in several industries, and was also a Private Equity Operating Partner, serving as Chief Executive Officer or Board member of four companies.
Kent enjoys bringing his operating background to search engagements, believing “having been there” is helpful in assessing skills, accomplishments, and importantly, “fit”. His corporate career includes 20 years of senior management experience in healthcare facilities and services, including EPIC Healthcare (hospitals) and EmCare (physicians). Earlier operating, financial and development roles in retail, TV and radio broadcasting and production, and American Airlines, Inc., provided insight and interest in industries that have changed dramatically due to regulation, deregulation, and the Internet.
A Kansas City native who grew up in New York, Kent graduated with High Distinction and Honors from the University of Rhode Island with a B.S. in Accounting, and earned an MBA in Finance and Marketing from the University of Chicago. He Chairs the Board of Advisors for the College of Business at URI, and has served in a number of North Texas philanthropic and community organizations. Kent and his wife Diane, an advertising executive, enjoy golf, traveling, and spending time at the family’s Rhode Island summer cottage.
