Scott Petty is a Partner in the Dallas office and leads the firm’s financial services practice serving bank, mortgage, real estate, family office and wealth management clients. Scott has established a successful track record as an executive search consultant recruiting Senior Executives and Corporate Directors for public, private equity-backed and closely-held private companies. Over the years, he has worked with banking and mortgage clients such as Texas Capital Bank, Key Bank, Pioneer Bank, Veritex, Northern Trust, Nationstar, and Pacific Union to real estate clients such as Highland Homes, KB Homes, John Wieland Homes, and Inland Corporation.
Prior to joining Chartwell, Scott spent over a decade between his tenures’ with Heidrick & Struggles and Spencer Stuart. Over the course of his time with each firm, he led search practices in banking, real estate and broad financial services recruiting senior management for clients across the country.
As a leading recruiter, Scott frequently presents on senior leadership topics through various association forums. In addition, Scott has published talent related articles over the years and has been quoted in Bloomberg News, American Banker and The Wall Street Journal.
Before entering the executive search industry, Scott worked for a global consulting firm where he was responsible for regional human resources.
Scott is a graduate of The University of Texas with a bachelor’s degree in psychology and minor in business management. Outside of work, Scott enjoys spending time with his wife and four children, fixing up old Toyota FJ40 Land Cruisers, volunteering with Boy Scouts of America and all things outdoors.
