Ellen Travers is passionate about connecting people and ideas to help life science companies grow. With deep expertise in executive search, she specializes in placing transformative leaders—CEOs, C-suite executives, functional heads, and board members—across biotech, pharma, and consumer health.

Before joining Chartwell Partners, Ellen led Talent Acquisition at Xontogeny, a life science accelerator backed by Perceptive Advisors, where she built leadership teams from the ground up for startups and portfolio companies. Her earlier experience spans over a decade in executive search and in-house talent roles at industry leaders including Celgene, The Medicines Company, Sanofi, UBS, and McKinsey & Company.

Ellen holds a B.A. from The Catholic University of America and a Master’s degree from Columbia University. She is known for her extensive network, strategic insight, and ability to align high-impact talent with high-growth opportunities. A dedicated mentor with Women in Bio, Ellen also honors her parents’ legacy of service by teaching yoga to inmates and volunteering as an ESL instructor for immigrants in her community.
